The Spare Room
Join us for a wonderful evening spent with New York Times bestselling author, William Kent Krueger, when he presents his new book, Lightning Strike, the 18th installment in the Cork O’Connor series.
Kent says: “Set against the backdrop of the summer of 1963, when two murders spark tension between the Ojibwe of the Iron Lake Reservation and the white populace of Tamarack County, this is the story of Cork as an adolescent, standing in the doorway to his manhood. It’s the year before his father Liam O’Connor, sheriff of Tamarack County, is killed in the line of duty. I love that this look at Cork as a young man has allowed me to explore the complex relationship between father and son, so important in shaping Cork into the man who occupies center stage in the series.”
Lightning Strike will be available in the bookstore on August 24th at 9:00 am and at the event.
All of Kent’s books will be available for sale and signing. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Kent will begin speaking at 7:00 pm. Your ticket includes light appetizers, dessert, and coffee. Cash bar and other Spare Room menu items available for purchase.
